Spring (Late and Tentative, But Still!)
I got my first flower of the season from Tuxedo Boy on Sunday. Isn’t it amazing? I love dandelions, and this one was especially remarkable–possibly because it was a sun-soaked afternoon, we were sitting out in the side yard under the big fir tree, and I had all the time in the world to look at it and admire it. Still, it was incredible. I love that my camera, which isn’t fancy at all, could still capture the miniscule springy tendrils of the little anthers–hundreds of perfect little twirls hovering above the petals.
It’s colder and overcast today, but I’m not fussed–it’s inevitable now. Spring will come and then summer. Ha ha!
